Sara Laimon Luke

Salsa Student

Sara’s passion for Latin culture and partner dancing inspired her to take up salsa. Learning with Danny has not only enhanced her skills but also helped her embrace her inner "Mover and Shaker." Sara is committed to improving by practicing as much as possible and treasures the joy of dancing with a great lead, which makes her feel like she’s truly shining on the dance floor. She’s also learning to adapt when dancing with less experienced partners, building confidence in every situation.

Though just six weeks into her salsa journey, Sara is already forming connections with her classmates and is excited to grow alongside them. Her dream is to attend salsa events in Central and South America, where her love for the culture and dance can come together. With her enthusiasm and dedication, Sara is well on her way to becoming an exceptional dancer!

Sara shares his dance journey through the following interview questions.

1. How did specific events or people influence your decision to start learning salsa?

I love Latin culture and partner dancing, learning with Danny has helped open me up as a mover...i mean a shaker :)

2. What strategies do you use to remember the steps and techniques taught in class?

Practice as much as I can.

3. Have you ever had a memorable dance with a stranger at a salsa event? What made it special?

Totally! And when I get a good lead i look like i can kind of dance. I am learning how to still look slightly average with a guy that doesn't know how to lead.

4. If you could attend a salsa dance event anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?

Anywhere. Take me. I love central and south america!

5. How did your connections with classmates from our dance classes turn into meaningful friendships outside of class?

Starting to...I am just 6 weeks in! I am signing up and sure hope that people from our class will sign up too so we can keep growing together.
