Nicholas Meddin

Salsa Student

Nicholas fell in love with salsa as a way to be social and enjoy his passion for Latin music and dance. A memorable highlight was rediscovering his love for dancing salsa and bachata by a river in Berlin, Germany. For Nicholas, dancing is about joy—embracing mistakes with laughter and keeping the energy alive.


Salsa has helped him step out of his comfort zone and connect with incredible people. At Movers and Shakers Dance Academy, Nicholas values the talented instructors who provide clear guidance and a supportive environment, making every class a fun and enriching experience.

1) How did your interest in salsa dancing begin?


I wanted to be more social and I always loved dancing. Plus I like latin music.


2) How do you deal with mistakes while learning to dance salsa?


Laugh it off, keep on moving & shaking.


3) What’s a time you found yourself unexpectedly dancing salsa in a unique or unusual place. Where were you, and how did it go down?


Dancing Salsa & Bachata by a river in Berlin, Germany! I found a class online and rediscovered my passion for dance across the world.


4) In what ways has dancing salsa improved your life in general?


Meeting so many cool friendly people, getting me out of my shell.


5) How is your overall experience with the dance instructors and the teaching methods at Movers and Shakers Dance Academy?


Extremely positive, very talented caring instructors who explain well and give us the time and space we need to get the moves into our bodies.
