1. What do you enjoy most about dancing salsa and bachata?

I love the community I've joined since beginning my salsa/bachata journey. I feel like I've met so many genuine people who've enhanced my overall experience!

2. Which dance do you find more challenging, salsa or bachata? Why?

definitely find salsa to be more challenging out of the two - There are a lot more technical aspects to think about, in my opinion. Regardless, I enjoy both!

3. What advice would you give to new salsa and bachata students who are struggling with challenges in the learning process?

I would recommend that you rely on your classmates for additional practice outside of classes. Those extra minutes spent going over moves with classmates really make a world of a difference in your progression.

4. Would you prefer a dance partner who is technically skilled but very serious, or a beginner who is less skilled but brings a lot of fun and energy to the dance? Why?

I prefer the friendly beginner dancer because they make the time more enjoyable and lighthearted. Dancing is supposed to be fun!

5. How has your dancing improved since joining Movers and Shakers Dance Academy? Can you share specific skills or techniques you’ve mastered?

I've learned so much since beginning my dancing journey at MaS. I had no foundation of technique, so these past two months or so have made a huge impact. It’s allowed me to go out social dancing and keep up with leads that are more experienced than me! So fun!
