Student Spotlight:

Kyra Orr

Salsa Student

Kyra’s salsa journey began with inspiration from Ashley Torres, who encouraged her to take the leap into dance classes. Since joining Movers and Shakers, Kyra has honed her skills by focusing on the moments when her moves feel right versus when they don’t. Friday practice sessions have been especially meaningful for her, offering both a chance to refine techniques and build connections with fellow dancers.

Although she’s just starting out, Kyra already feels the camaraderie growing among her Salsa 101 classmates. If she could instantly improve one aspect of her dancing, it would be her ability to better anticipate her partner’s lead, allowing her to flow even more seamlessly on the dance floor. With her positive outlook and dedication, Kyra is excited to see where her salsa journey takes her.

Kyra shares his dance journey through the following interview questions.
