Student Spotlight:
Hashim Hassan
Salsa Student
Already confident as a solo dancer, Hashim Hassan joined Movers and Shakers to push his boundaries and explore a new dimension of movement—partner dancing. The idea of coordinating with someone else on the dance floor was a challenge he welcomed, and it quickly became a powerful avenue for growth.
Along the way, several fellow dancers—affectionately known as “Shakers”—offered thoughtful feedback that made a real difference in his technique. Their observations helped him refine his movement and pick up subtleties he might have missed on his own.
Beyond the steps and spins, salsa has offered something more personal: a chance to connect with others through motion, and to lean into his own kinetic intelligence. Through dance, he’s been building presence, awareness, and the ability to communicate through energy and timing—skills that extend far beyond the studio.
