Bobby Lara Pineda

1. What made you decide to learn both salsa and bachata?

It helps when you're at a social event and both kinds of music are played. If you learn both, you don't have to leave the dance floor when either genre is on.

2. Which dance do you feel allows for more personal expression, salsa or bachata? Why?

For me, salsa allows for more personal expression.

3. Which dance do you think requires more practice to master the fundamentals, salsa or bachata? Why do you think that is?

I believe salsa needs more time for mastering the fundamentals.

4. Would you prefer a dance partner who is technically skilled but very serious, or a beginner who is less skilled but brings a lot of fun and energy to the dance? Why?

I’d prefer a beginner who brings a lot of fun and energy to the dance.

5. How has your dancing improved since joining Movers and Shakers Dance Academy? Can you share specific skills or techniques you’ve mastered?

Movers and Shakers has drilled the fundamentals into me, making me feel confident to jump into any dance lesson with other people.
