He also enjoys the academy’s social events, with the trip to Las Vegas being a particularly memorable experience.

Alejandro shares his dance journey through the following interview questions.

Alejandro Hinostroza

1. What do you enjoy most about dancing salsa and bachata?

The trust that a follow and lead can develop. In a world where peoples tensions and anxiety levels seem to always be going up, it's good that we can develop safe spaces to be able to trust and interact with each other.

2. How do the connection and interaction with your dance partner differ between salsa and bachata

Salsa is more dynamic and has more freedom of expression. Bachata is more oriented towards synchronicity, having good communication through dance with your partner.

3. How do you adjust your personal style when switching from salsa to bachata

Adjust your mentality. Feel free to be more creative with salsa and learn to be more in tuned with Bachata.

4. Would you prefer a dance partner who is technically skilled but very serious, or a beginner who is less skilled but brings a lot of fun and energy to the dance? Why

Beginner who is less skilled, and much less serious (more fun). Let's be honest, none of us (or very few) are going to be professionals per se. It's so important that all of this should be fun.

5. Have you participated in any events or socials organized by Movers and Shakers Dance Academy? If so, how was your experience

I had a lot of fun at the movers and shakers events, especially the one in Vegas.
