SALSA 101
SALSA 101 is a 10-week salsa class designed for beginners to cover all the foundations! It is a progressive program that introduces proper habits in your muscle memory from day 1.
It is the perfect class for first time salsa dancers, two left feet or not. The program is also a great fit for experienced salsa dancers who didn't learn the proper foundations or want a refresher class to clean up their salsa dancing skills. |
BACHATA 101
BACHATA 101 is a 10-week series to learn all of the basics of bachata in a structured, comprehensive way. The environment is safe and welcoming especially for first timers and shy students.
We make sure that first time bachata dancers will truly develop proper body movement to look and feel natural on the dance floor. |

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SALSA AND BACHATA?
Both are latin partner dances. Salsa is a bit faster, has more spinning for ladies, and is very energetic and quite technical. Bachata is more relaxed, a bit slower, often has closer contact with the partner, and can be quite sensual!
Both salsa and bachata are played together in night clubs, which is why Movers & Shakers Salsa and Bachata Dance Academy specializes in these two dances (and only these two dances).
